公路交通
    常州的公路是一张由高速、国道、省道和县道组成的巨网，立体交叉、四通八达。
    目前，穿、经-常州的高速公路共有5条，分别为沪宁高速（上海-南京）、宁杭高速（南京-杭州）、沿江高速（南京-太昌）、锡宜高速（无锡-宜兴）、扬溧高速（扬州-溧阳），共计221公里；在建的高速公路2条。此外穿、经-我市的国道2条，计85公里；省道11条，计395公里；县道1260公里，乡道 2211公里。全市拥有各类机动车辆72.4万辆，其中汽车40.3万辆。
Road Transportation
Roads in Changzhou have been built into an over-crossing traffic network extending to all directions, with expressways, and various highways at state, province and county levels.
Currently, the expressways passing through Changzhou total 5, namely Hu-Ning (Shanghai-Nanjing), Ning-Hang (Nanjing-Hangzhou), Yanjiang (Nanjing-Taicang), Xi-Yi(Wuxi-Yixing) and Yang-Li (Yangzhou-Liyang) expressways, with a total length of 221 kilometers; and the other two expressways are under construction. Besides, 2 state highways go through or across the city, with a total length of 85 km; 11 provincial highways with total 395 km length; county level highways with 1,260 km and township roads with 2,211 km are built within the city. At present, the city possesses 724,000 sets various motor vehicles, including 403,000 sets automobiles.
