常州科教城

   科教城是常州培养应用型“银领”人才的高等职业教育园区，也是教育与科技、经-济积极互动的高地。
   科教城占地4平方公里，已建建筑198万平方米；园区六所院校在校学生约7.6万，成人教育学生约1.8万。
   科教城拥有教学科研实训装备原-值达7亿元；科教城已与美国、加拿大、英国、香港等国家和地区的40余所高校及国内著名高校合作，中外合作办学规模已达2000多人；仅2007年就有42个国内科研机构、高科技企业的研发中心和总部落户科教城，其中包括：中国科学院常州先进制造技术研发与产业化中心、南京大学常州高新技术研究院、东南大学研究院、远宇集团、北大众志等。
Changzhou Science & Education Town
Changzhou Science & Education Town is reputed as the higher vocational education park for cultivating practical “silver collar” talents for the city, and a platform for active interaction among education, science and technology and economy.
Changzhou Science & Education Town covers an area of 4 square km, and owns 1.98 million square meter of existing building coverage. Currently, the number of enrolled students in the six universities and institutes settled in the education park reaches about 76,000, and about 18,000 adult students.
The original value of teaching, research and experimental equipments totaled RMB700 million. Up to now, the education town had established cooperative relation with more than 40 prestigious universities and institutes and home and abroad, including universities of USA, Canada, UK, Hong Kong, etc. In addition, the number of students studying in the Sino-foreign cooperative educational institutions exceeded 2000. Just in the year of 2007, R&D centers or headquarters of 42 domestic scientific research institutes, hi-tech enterprises settled in the education town, including R&D and Industrialization Center of Changzhou Advanced Manufacturing Technology of Chinese Academy of Science,
Changzhou High and New Technology Research Institute of Nanjing University,
Research Institute of Southeast University, Yuanyu Technologies and Beijing Peking University Unity Microsystems Technology Co., Ltd. resided into the zone.
