金坛—“江东福地”
    金坛地处常州市区西南，位于“中国道教十大文化旅游胜地”之一的茅山脚下，素有“江-东福地”的美誉。金坛市总面积976平方公里，户籍人口55.04万，下辖7个镇和1个省级经-济开发区。2007年，全市实现地区生产总值223亿元，财政收入突破30亿元，其中地方一般预算收入11.22亿元，总体实现了全面小康社会的目标。
Jintan – “Fortune Land of Southeast China”
Located in the southwest of Changzhou, and the foot of Mount Mao, one of top ten Taoism Cultural Spots of China, Jintan has been reputed as “Fortune Land of Southeast China”. Jintan covers a total area of 976 square kilometers, owns a population of 550,400, and administrates seven towns and one provincial-level economic development zone. In the year of 2007, the whole city reached RMB 22.3 billion in regional GDP and above RMB 3 billion in fiscal revenue, including RMB 1.122 billion in local general budgeted income, which general realized the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

    赢得“中国和谐名城”、“中国综合实力百强县”、“全国最具投资潜力中小城市”、“中华绒螯蟹之乡”等殊荣的金坛市，其四大工业支柱产业：机械电子、纺织服装、精细化工和新型材料正加速转型升级，光伏、盐化工、焊机焊丝等新兴产业快速崛起，是中国精细化学品产业基地和全国仅2家的“中国出口服装制造名城”之一。

Since awarded the honorary titles as China Famous Harmonious City, One of Top 100 Chinese Counties and Cities in Economic Strength, One of Chinese Top 100 Small and Medium-sized cities with Strongest Investment Potential, and Land of Chinese mitten crab (Eriocheir Sinensis), four main pillar industries of Jintan, including mechanics and electronics, textile and garment, fine chemicals and new materials are speeding up transformation and upgrade, and some other newly emerging industries such as photovoltaic industry, saline chemical industry, welding machine and welding wire are growing rapidly. Besides, Jintan is awarded as the manufacturing base of fine chemicals industry of China and one of the only two “China Famous Manufacturing Cities for Exported Garment” in China.
